Wally Smith Retires, Ramon Leon Promoted to Director of Operations
Blachford Acoustics Group would like to wish a very well-deserved retirement to Wally Smith, who officially retired on Friday April 30th after more than 35 years with the company.
Wally worked at our Menomonee Falls, WI location – Milcut as the Vice President of Finance and Plant Manager. Wally’s dedication to financial excellence has been instrumental in the success and excellent work culture Milcut has experienced during his tenure.
We want to express our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for his invaluable contributions to our organization. Wally will be missed dearly, and his legacy at Milcut will undoubtedly continue to inspire the future of Blachford Acoustics Group for years to come.
With Wally Smith’s retirement leaving a void in Operation leadership at Milcut Inc. (Menomonee Falls, WI), earlier this year in January Blachford Acoustics Group proactively promoted Ramon Leon to Director of Operations.
Ramon was previously in charge of the West Chicago, IL facility – Blachford Inc. but in this new role, he is responsible for the West Chicago site as well as Milcut. He also will oversee our supply chain for all of Blachford Acoustics Group in North America.
In the 3 months since this promotion, Ramon has been able to shadow and learn from Wally. This has ensured that Wally’s longstanding success at the Milcut location will continue under Ramon’s leadership. We have already seen Ramon’s initiative and drive benefit the Milcut location and we are excited to see him thrive in this role with Blachford Acoustics Group.
