Firefighter in a forest with controlled burns

Product Spotlight

EZ-Fire™ Gel Agent

Reliable Ignition for Controlled Burns, Even in Wet Conditions.

Blachford’s EZ-Fire™ Gel Agent is a proven solution for slash burning, forestry management, and brush pile clearing.

Formulated with aluminum octoate chemistry, EZ-Fire mixes easily with non-ethanol gasoline to form a thick gel that burns hot, steady, and long, helping evaporate surface moisture and ignite even the toughest, dampest material.

Used by forestry services, private landowners, and the lumber industry, EZ-Fire supports safe, efficient, and controlled burning operations in all weather conditions.

Technical Background
EZ-Fire™ is derived from Blachford’s Calford G-760 aluminum octoate—a room-temperature gelling agent originally developed from our Calford G-810 intermediate. This specialized chemistry enables controlled gel formation and consistent performance across forestry, oilfield, and industrial applications.
