    CALCIUM 12-HYDROXYSTEARATE (CAS No. 3159-62-4) is a pre-formed thickener used to manufacture greases with fewer steps, less energy, and greater accuracy than conventional in-situ methods. Because water has already been removed during its manufacture, no additional energy is required for evaporation. The lower heat requirement allows compatibility with heat-sensitive base oils (soy, vegetable, PAO, ester) and additives that may degrade at high temperatures. It is often combined with Lithium 12-Hydroxystearate for improved resistance and anti-wear properties. It does not contain animal-derived materials or ethyl alcohol.
