CALFORD CD Products

Calford® CD 50-S | CD 50-V | CD 325 | CD 804 are 48%–50% solids, aqueous dispersions of calcium stearate that are APE/NPE free. These dispersions are low viscosity, free-flowing liquids with small (3–5 microns) particle sizes and narrow particle distributions. CD 50-V is suitable for indirect food applications, while CD 325 offers a finer particle size with fewer agglomerates. CD 804 is Kosher and Halal certified for direct food applications. All grades can be manufactured using RSPO-certified (Round Table for Sustainable Palm Oil) ingredients.

Understanding

Is your current product improving your processing downstream? Is your current product increasing your downtime, is it messy – foaming, dusting, not coating, are you changing solids regularly?

Run the Trial

We provide in plant support before, during and after the trial. Our goal is to give our customers real solutions that save time and money.

What is the NINJA system?

The NINJA is Blachford’s automated dilution equipment. It provides complete solids control taking the guesswork out of anti-tack.
Yes, we have products that meet the most stringent requirements including direct and indirect food contact. We even have an anti-tack that is food grade which works great for medical applications too.
Yes. Our anti-tack has a low pickup rate and it’s fast-drying which means less product needed to coat your rubber and less loss on the wig wag and/or during hand stacking or boxing. With the addition of our NINJA system, we can optimize your usage and save you money.
Anti-tacks can be used during every process of a rubber manufacturing facility. As a spray to coat the mixer chute; after the mill or extruder in a dip tank, flood or spray line; molding of the tire, tread or part; there are many uses for anti-tack. If you have a ‘sticking’ problem in your plant, talk to one of our experts to see if we can help. If we don’t have a product that will work for your application then our R&D team will make one.
No. Our products can be incorporated into your current system. If you’re not sure how to make that happen, our expert will visit your plant and show you how.
Blachford anti-tacks are HAPS compliant, formulated without glycol ethers or APEOs, and meet international safety standards.
Yes. Optimizing your process with the proper product at the proper use solids will prevent downtime. Incorporating engineering controls such as the NINJA system reduces maintenance and clean-up. All of our solutions are designed to reduce downtime and our team works closely with customers to improve all aspects of processing.
We deliver integrated solutions — innovative products, automated solutions and expert guidance — backed by 100+ years of experience in rubber manufacturing.
Absolutely. Blachford develops tailored products for unique rubber compounds and processing lines. We suggest contacting us directly for a plant visit to get started.
